Infogain Completes Global Technologies Acquisition

In an effort to increase its international client base, Infogain Corporation, a California-based CRM consultancy, says it has completed its acquisition of Global Technologies, a U.K.--based professional services company specializing in CRM consulting. Leonard Palomino, president and COO of Infogain, says of the merger: "I am very pleased to announce the conclusion of this merger. This union further solidifies our leadership in business solutions consulting, and we are well positioned to extend our reach into new markets and regions. In the past year we have enjoyed strong momentum in the U.K., and with our increased investment in Europe we look forward to continued success." Infogain's strategic partners, including many CRM software producers, say the move will help them gain a stronger presence in Europe. Andy Sims, U.K. alliances director of PeopleSoft, praised the move, saying, "Global Technologies' merger with Infogain is good news for us, and for PeopleSoft's clients. Infogain can now provide consultants who are highly skilled in our product suite and who are backed by a mature and stable company that can support other areas of our clients' business." Says Archie Thomas, managing director of Infogain, "At a time when many of our competitors are struggling for survival, Infogain is significantly extending the breadth and depth of its resources and its expertise in the U.K. The emphasis of our clients is on getting more out of their existing systems. The acquisition of Global Technologies helps us to respond to those demands by expanding our capabilities in the areas of application integration, CRM, and business intelligence." Global Technologies' managing partners, Robert Godlonton and Gary Butler, will be appointed to key positions in Infogain, the company says. The management teams of the two companies say they will be working swiftly to integrate the two companies, and say they expect to see a smooth transition.
