Unica announces monster customer win; Envision Telephony releases third- and fourth-quarter results; Avaya makes available new service; and more.

CUSTOMER WINS
Monster,
a global online career site, has selected
Unica's
Affinium software to provide centralized offer management and tracking across its US-based marketing communications. Monster will use Affinium to deliver personalized and targeted offers and content based on member's profile and interactions across all channels. Monster will implement Affinium's customer predictive analysis and demand generation solutions.
RightNow Technologies
announced Latin American network provider
Tutopia
deployed RightNow to manage communications with customers across multiple channels. RightNow will track phone calls and emails and will allow service agents access to customer histories.
IN THE NEWS
Envision Telephony
announced revenues for third and fourth quarters of 2004. The company's revenue increased 54 percent over the first six months of the year and showed an increase of 32.7 percent in year-ove-year revenues. International revenue was doubled over the first half of the year with 10 percent of overall revenues coming from overseas.
Nortel
and
Research In Motion
have entered a joint initiative to deliver Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-enabled business communications over wireless local area networks. The companies will focus on integration between RIM's BlackBerry enterprise platform and Nortel's Multimedia Communications Server 5100. Enterprise customers will use BlackBerry 7270 to access IP telephony, corporate e-mail, and other business applications.
ON THE MOVE
Paul Wahl has been elected to
QlikTech's
board of directors. Wahl was previously an executive with SAP and Siebel Systems. The move to add Wahl follows a $12.5 million capital investment in QlikTech by Accel Partners and Jerusalem Venture partners. Wahl also served as president and COO of Siebel Systems and CEO of SAP America and executive vice president of Siebel Systems. Wahl currently serves on the Board of Directors at Agile Software and Intentia International
PRODUCT NEWS
Avaya
announced the availability of Avaya Remote Managed Services to enable businesses to manage their converged Internet protocol telephony networks without disrupting voice service. The system is a software-based service that proactively monitors the relationship between voice and data IP applications to maintain network availability.
