NEWS Recruitmax, a workforce management solutions provider, has announced the launch of
Data Intelligence Group (DIG). Comprising in-house technology experts and certified professionals, DIG will concentrate on business intelligence, executing data management best practices, and providing customers with access to information that will allow for strategic planning. "By giving employees immediate access to all relevant information through their Recruitmax solution and better aligning their technologies, our customers are able to realize significant productivity gains that impact the bottom line and help companies further differentiate themselves through their people," says Derek Mercer, Recruitmax's founder and CEO. Technology Solutions Company (TSC) has announced the closing of the acquisition of ZAMBA, a CRM services company. In the transaction, which will be effective the last day of 2004, each ZAMBA common share will be converted into 0.15 TSC common shares. ON THE MOVE Forrester Research has appointed George Orlov to CIO and CTO. Prior to joining Forrester, Orlov, who has 27 years of technology experience, held the CIO and CTO position at professional services firm Callisma. He has also served as vice president, CIO, at Exelon, formerly ComEd, and Pacific Gas & Electric. The Unisys board of directors has elected Joseph McGrath to the board, effective January 1, 2005. The appointment comes two months after the company announced that McGrath would become its CEO and president, also effective January 1, 2005. McGrath currently serves as president and COO. Lawrence Weinbach, current Unisys chairman and CEO, will remain as executive chairman of the board through January 2006. CUSTOMER WINS Epicor Software has announced that Formation Systems, a product lifestyle management (PLM) solutions provider, has selected Epicor for Services Enterprises to streamline its accounting processes and maximize resource utilization. To effectively manage its service engagements, the PLM vendor will implement the solution via Emerald Consulting Partners, an Epicor authorized value-added reseller.
