SAS has released SAS Marketing Optimization, a new solution designed to enable direct marketers to improve their campaign management processes. With this solution, SAS says marketers can evaluate multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously to optimize, for any given mix of campaigns, which products should be marketed to individual customers to maximize ROI. NEC Solutions America and OuterBay, a provider of application data-management software, announced this week that they are working together to deliver PeopleSoft customers a lifecycle approach to manage data growth and reduce infrastructure costs. The solution allows companies to relocate inactive PeopleSoft data to less expensive storage classes while retaining connected, real-time access to the data. The combination is designed to help customers minimize the negative impact of data growth, improve system performance, and reduce the total cost of data storage. Tigerpaw Software, a provider of CRM solutions for small and midsize businesses, announced the release of its newest product, Tigerpaw Business Suite Enterprise 9. The new feature functionality added to the Business Suite focuses on providing the necessary tools to achieve higher levels of efficiency and profitability. The company says enhancements like opportunity management--SFA tools that trigger automatic marketing activities and increased marketing functionality--add even more front-end solutions for the business owner. Other new features include service order profiling, deigned to better manage service calls; mobility options that include a Web interface for mobile devices; increased integration with Microsoft Outlook to provide better communication tools for those employees in the field; increased flexibility with maintenance contract billing and invoicing, designed to help increase cash flow; and an improved protocol for dial-out and screen pop capabilities to provide faster communications throughout the organization. Qualte, which provides hosted customer-service applications, today announced the addition of qChat, a new instant messaging application, to its line of support products. Qualte designed qChat as a user-friendly application for secure, real-time chatting and instant messaging that is available as either a standalone product or as an integrated module within Qualte's other customer support products, Xpress and XL. Along with standard chat functionality qChat allows customer service agents to save greetings and responses for easy reuse, store and push Web pages to customers, maintain complete transcripts of each chat session, and customize the look and feel of chat interfaces, according to the company.
