Melissa Data Launches Listware for Excel

Melissa Data, a provider of contact data quality and address management solutions, yesterday released Listware for Excel, an add-in for Microsoft Excel that cleans and enriches account and customer data.

Listware for Excel will verify, correct, and standardize addresses for more than 240 countries and search multisourced data to return the current addresses of companies or people that have moved. The program also enriches data by filling in gaps with current phone numbers, email addresses, and postal addresses, and geocodes street addresses with precise latitude and longitude coordinates.

"Data hygiene can be a daunting task, especially for small business owners. Keeping track of customers and prospects in Excel is common practice for SBOs, but it's difficult to know whether a contact's information is complete and up-to-date," said Bud Walker, director of data quality solutions at Melissa Data, in a statement. "Listware for Excel is perfect for small business owners like salespeople, real estate agents, and insurance agents who already manage their contacts in Excel. Concise record summary counts and color-coordinated output cells make it easy to view and analyze results. A free trial version of Listware for Excel allows users to check up to 1,000 records. Since Listware is compatible with Microsoft Windows Excel 2013, 2010, 2007 and 2003, IT expertise is not required.
