SAS and HSBC Holdings have announced a long-term partnership aimed at protecting banks and their customers from payment card fraud. The project, the companies say, will lower the operational costs of fighting fraud and will create a more flexible fraud platform so that HSBC can respond faster to new threats as they arise. The companies are also collaborating on developing a strategy to extend the technology into other transaction monitoring applications.
Good Technology has made several announcements. Sprint is offering GoodLink software and service to its enterprise customers. Good also has broadened its support for handheld devices, and now supports Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Smartphones, including the Motorola MPx220 and Audiovox SMT 5600, in addition to the Palm OS, Microsoft Pocket PC, and, in the future, Symbian platforms. Additionally Good has defined a road map for IBM Lotus Notes, Domino, and Novell GroupWise, and expanded the GoodLink Enterprise Edition for Microsoft Exchange with GoodLink version 4.5. The company also announced enhanced Good Secure Transport Service and GoodLink Compliance Manager for improved handheld security and management. Good has added GoodLink support for French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
ValueClick's Mediaplex division has announced MOJO MediaDirector, an online media planning and buying solution integrated with its MOJO Adserver third-party ad-serving platform. MOJO MediaDirector is an ASP, Web-based tool that offers workflow efficiencies for advertisers, agencies and publishers throughout the entire media buying process. Additionally, ValueClick's Commission Junction has announced the launch of CJ Performer. Publishers accepted into CJ Performer are designated a Commission Junction Account Manager, who works with them to improve their program, and to develop successful marketing relationships with advertisers in the Commission Junction network. They also can benefit from services such as quicker response times to technical inquiries, complimentary access to product catalog data, and free customized reporting.
Amdocs has announced that Acer, a hardware provider, plans to deploy Amdocs CRM to eight countries throughout Asia in addition to Australia, where Amdocs' CRM solution was deployed in 2001. Amdocs will be deployed in India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The deployment already has gone live in Singapore and Thailand.
Jacada has announced details of the first quarter 2005 enterprise license agreement it signed with Vodafone UK, which has 15.2 million U.K. customers and offers data and voice communications. Based on its success with an initial project in the customer retention contact center, Vodafone UK purchased an enterprise license and is implementing Jacada Fusion in more of its U.K. contact centers and retail outlets. Vodafone implemented Jacada Fusion to simplify how CSRs in its SAVES group access and use applications across different computing platforms. Problems resulted from having agents accessing two separate systems with no real-time data exchange or updates, but with Jacada Fusion, agents can access and use the separate systems through a single user interface.
Epiphany has announced that Turkcell, a provider of mobile communications in Turkey, is using Epiphany Campaign Management and Interaction Advisor solutions to improve relationship marketing across channels, reduce customer churn, and help drive additional revenue per subscriber. Turkcell also has implemented Epiphany Insight analytic solutions. HP Technology Solutions Group partnered with Turkcell and Epiphany to complete the implementation.

Jeff Hirsch has joined ValueClick as senior vice president of business development. Most recently Hirsch served as chief revenue officer of Fastclick.com.
Bobby Napiltonia has been appointed senior vice president for worldwide channel and alliances at Salesforce.com. Napiltonia was previously vice president and general manager of worldwide channels and alliances for BEA Systems.
Julie Bradley, CPA, has been hired as CFO for ATG. Bradley joins from Akamai Technologies, where she served as vice president of finance. Prior to Akamai, Bradley spent more than seven years at Deloitte & Touche.
