BPM Online Releases New Platform

BPMonline, a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) and business process management (BPM) solutions, last week released BPMonline 7.0, the next generation of its application development platform.

The platform offers a new user interface that is context-sensitive. Information is intelligently put into the context of current tasks. When a user works on an opportunity, for example, BPMonline will show relevant products for a cross-sell, loan options, and special offers for these products. At the same time, all irrelevant data is kept hidden.

Users can set business logic to define the data they want to be displayed for each specific task.

Another new feature is the smart command line, which simplifies navigation and data search. Users can work right from the command line, typing to let the command line offer the list of most appropriate actions or jump to the required page.

BPMonline CRM, a process-driven customer relationship management solution, became the first application built on the BPMonline 7.0 platform. In the near future BPMonline plans to develop all of its products on the new platform.

"It is believed that enterprise software is much more difficult to understand for end users than, let's say, entertaining Web resources or social networks," said Katerina Kostereva, CEO and managing partner at BPMonline, in a statement. "By releasing the new platform, we set ourselves an ambitious goal: to ruin this stereotype. Working with BPMonline 7.0 will make users feel like they're interacting with the personal assistant that provides only necessary information at the right time."
