Zurmo Releases Zurmo CRM 2.7 with Enhanced Collaboration Tools

Zurmo has released Zurmo CRM 2.7, which adds Shared Calendar, Email Template Builder, and the ability to add users to Meetings. The focus of this release was to enhance collaboration and streamline the creation of email marketing campaigns.

The Shared Calendar increases visibility into a user's schedule and allows exposure to other users' calendar items. With the new calendar interface, a user can configure different views. The My Calendar view shows saved calendars that the user created. The My Shared Calendar shows calendars to which the user has subscribed.

With the new Email Template Builder, Zurmo's Marketing engine was given a major upgrade. Now, users can go through a streamlined process to create templates by choosing predefined layouts and dragging/dropping available elements, such as buttons, headers, and dividers. They can also adjust colors, borders, and text and take a preview before sending out the campaign.

"The Email Marketing enhancements really allow a non-technical user to create stunning templates without needing to be a master in HTML," said Ray Stoeckicht, co-founder of Zurmo, in a statement. "We pride ourselves on Zurmo being the most user-friendly and engaging CRM in the open-source marketplace."

Recent updates to the system included in version 2.5 included project management, deep gamification elements, such as the integration of tangible rewards, into the system, voice over IP (VoIP) functionality that allows users to call leads and contacts with a single click of a button, and Lead Queues, which provide automatic distribution of leads. Prior to that, version 2.0, which Zurmo released in June 2013, included salesforce and marketing automation features and reporting.
