Information Builders and DBS-H Announce New Integration

Information Builders today announced a new partnership with Israeli startup DBS-H. Together, the two companies look to assist businesses with their big data initiatives, with Information Builder's WebFOCUS Business Intelligence platform being embedded into DBS-H's CR8 platform.

WebFOCUS provides users with a full range of tools, including data management, visual discovery, predictive analytics, and operational intelligence capabilities, to help them make the most of their data. The platform is also scalable, as it can deploy secure applications to thousands—and even millions—of users. Furthermore, WebFOCUS features self-service capabilities, including advanced reporting and visual data discovery, within a single, Web-based interface.

The overall mission of DBS-H is to improve customer experiences, and to help enterprises make the most of upsell and cross-sell opportunities, regardless of what channel they are using. The company aims to provide businesses with a 360 degree view of the customer through continuous, transparent integration between SQL-based data sources and a NoSQL data hub.

DBS-H's CR8 solution powers this data integration between SQL and NoSQL databases. The solution delivers real-time continuous data integration. The platform also allows for data transformation, data enrichment, data distribution, replication of a data subset, and data consolidation between databases that are replicated in a single warehouse.

Together, WebFOCUS and CR8 look to empower enterprises by preserving and extending their existing IT investment bases while implementing new NoSQL systems and applications in a unified environment. WebFOCUS's BI capabilities can support new big data engines, while CR8 allows legacy SQL systems to function without alterations. CR8 also captures, formats, and enriches data in near real time. The integration between the two platforms allows IT departments to launch new applications with their existing business intelligence and reporting tools and organization skill set.

"The combination of SRL Software products, DBS-H, and Information Builders' platform will ensure customers that their data is as complete, consistent, and accurate as possible," David Small, senior vice president of the International Division at Information Builders, said in a statement. "In today's data-saturated landscape, ensuring the quality and accuracy of complex data sets is critical for intelligent and informed decision-making.

"We see many enterprises who struggle to adopt new NoSQL technologies due to internal organizational obstacles," Amos Shaltiel, CEO of DBS-H, added in a statement. "We are very excited to be able to bring a solution to many of these obstacles by delivering an end-to-end solution for integration and BI/Reporting in one box."
