Accenture and Cloudera Partner on Data Analytics

Accenture has entered into an alliance agreement with Cloudera, a provider of enterprise analytic data management powered by Apache Hadoop, to give clients access to Cloudera's enterprise data hub.

Cloudera's enterprise data hub is a central place for clients to store and analyze data, with the flexibility to run a variety of enterprise workloads, including batch processing, interactive SQL, enterprise search, and advanced analytics. Through the new agreement, Accenture and Cloudera will accelerate the speed in which enterprises in all industries can intake, access, and analyze data to enable real-time decision-making and data-driven outcomes.

"Accenture has a strong focus on big data and open source technologies like the Hadoop ecosystem, which includes data mobilization, data management, and data access at a large scale," said Narendra Mulani, senior managing director of Accenture Analytics, part of Accenture Digital, in a statement. "Our new alliance with Cloudera further emphasizes our commitment to build an emerging technology ecosystem that complements our existing alliances, offering our clients the greatest opportunity to drive real business results from big data."

"Cloudera's offering and vision for a data management platform aligns with Accenture's digital, analytics, and big data strategy and requirements," said Tom Reilly, CEO of Cloudera, in a statement. "This alliance benefits our mutual clients by combining Cloudera's enterprise-class software with Accenture's deep industry expertise and global scale."
