NEW PRODUCTS
UniPress Software announced the latest version of its service desk product line and services, FootPrints 7.0. Functionality enhancements include a new change management add-on module, a customizable rules-based workflow engine that includes an approval and voting process to automate different phases of a change request and provides reporting on all change processes, and expanded integration with sales automation elements of existing third-party CRM systems including Microsoft CRM, Salesforce.com, and Salesnet's hosted sales automation solution. FootPrints 7.0 also features agent workflow, escalation, project administration, time tracking and reporting enhancements; and security audit trail functionality that allows transaction details to be logged to a secure audit file. "What we allow in FootPrints is the concept of multiple projects," says Fred Pack, vice president of UniPress Software. "One group could be using it for [one project] and another group could be using it for Sarbanes-Oxley tracking. It's all in the same FootPrints product."

All versions of FootPrints software--FootPrints, FootPrints for eService, the FootPrints Hosting Service, and FootPrints for Exchange--are now available in version 7.0. A three-agent starter pack for FootPrints 7.0 technology is priced at $3,995, while pricing for the FootPrints Change Management add-on module starts at $2,995 for up to eight agents. Volume, concurrent-user, and site-license pricing options are also available, but UniPress also provides discounts for educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.
