David Myron, Editorial Director, CRM and Speech Technology magazines

David is responsible for the general direction and day-to-day operations of CRM magazine and Speech Technology magazine, their Web sites, weekly email newsletters, and Webinars. In addition to story assigning and editing responsibilities for each publication, he spearheads the direction of CRM's annual Market Awards and Service Awards and Speech Technology's Speech Industry Awards. David is also the conference program director of the annual destinationCRM and SpeechTEK conferences, where he also presents and moderates.

A multiple-award-winning writer and editor, David brings more than a decade of business and technology writing experience to CRM and Speech Technology magazines and their associated products. His articles have appeared in magazines from leading media publishers, including CMP Media, Forbes, Freedom Communications, Primedia, and Ziff Davis. David's work has been cited in various business strategy books, including Best Face Forward: Why Companies Must Improve Their Service Interfaces with Customers (Harvard Business School Press), Return On Customer: Creating Maximum Value From Your Scarcest Resource (Doubleday), and What Women Really Want: How American Women Are Quietly Erasing Political, Racial, Class, and Religious Lines to Change the Way We Live (Simon & Schuster). David is also quoted in a variety of newspapers, including The Arizona Republic, The Chicago Tribune, and Newsday. He is also a co-author of the research report "CRM Market Forecast: 2002-2003" (Primedia) and co-author of the book Application Service Providing: The Ultimate Guide to Hiring Rather than Buying Applications (SCN Education).

David started at CRM magazine in October 2001 as a senior editor covering customer service and the contact center industry. After a stint in 2004 at American Demographics magazine, covering Generation X buying and behavioral trends, he returned to CRM in January 2005 as editor-in-chief. In August 2006, after Information Today Inc. acquired Speech Technology magazine, David became the editorial director of both publications. Prior to his first period at CRM magazine, he worked on PC Magazine's IT Insider Series, covering CRM and wireless technology. He also served as the founding editor of Small Business Solutions Provider, a monthly supplement to Small Business Computing magazine, and as the founding online editor of the Small Business Computing and Home Office Computing Web sites. Prior to that David was the small business editor at CMP Media's VARBusiness magazine. He received a BA in print journalism from Hofstra University.

Joshua Weinberger, Managing Editor

Josh returned to CRM magazine in 2007 after a three-year hiatus that included stints at the financial magazines of SourceMedia (formerly Thomson Media) and, most recently, as the managing editor of Plum, a pregnancy magazine for women 35 and older. An award-winning writer and editor, Josh brings a wealth of experience to CRM. In addition to previously serving as CRM's articles editor, he has also been on staff at The New Yorker and at Ziff Davis Media's Baseline, where he was one of the named recipients of several awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors. Josh has also been a contributor to the Financial Times and to the Village Voice, where one of his essays appeared in the annual "Best of New York" issue. Following his five-year stint on staff at The New Yorker, Josh traveled the world, hitting all seven continents in a single year. At Yale University, he majored in American Studies, English, and Theatre Studies, with a concentration in Film.

In his current capacity at CRM, Josh edits all content for the magazine and this Web site, and helps coordinate the writing staff and freelancers, offering editorial guidance where needed.

Laura Hegyi, Senior Designer

Laura is responsible for the art direction, design, and layout of CRM magazine and Speech Technology magazine. Since joining parent company Information Today Inc. in 1992, Laura has also served as senior designer for ONLINE magazine. In addition, she is credited with redesigning many of the company's publications, including CRM magazine, Speech Technology magazine (which won an APEX Award for Best Redesign), Information Today, KM World, and The Library Resource Guide. Laura's 26-plus years of design experience include 14 years at Atlantic City magazine, and she also designed and produced publications for The Miss America Pageant, the LPGA, and the New Jersey Department of Tourism. Laura has received numerous design accolades for her work on CRM and Speech Technology magazines including the 2008 Ozzie Award from Folio: magazine; multiple 2008, 2007, and 2006 APEXs (Awards for Publication Excellence) from Communications Concepts; multiple 2008, 2007, and 2006 Tabbie Awards from the Trade, Association and Business Publications International; 2008 (Gold + Silver) and 2007 Awards of Excellence from the ASBPE; and the 2004 American Graphic Design Award.


Marshall F. Lager, Senior Editor

Marshall handles CRM magazine's news, including stories for destinationCRM.com and the Insight section of the magazine. Marshall covers the sales and mobile technology news beats in addition to writing features and section articles for CRM magazine and its Web site. He also writes "Pint of View," the magazine's humor-in-CRM column, which was recognized by the 2008 Tabbies International Editorial & Design Awards. He is also the recipient of three APEX writing awards.

His print experience includes Home Office Computing magazine, where he was associate editor in charge of networking and new products, and feature articles for Custom Retailer. Marshall has co-authored two books on the consulting industry for Vault, and edited several of its other releases covering a wide variety of business topics.

His other journalistic experience includes consumer electronics reviews and news reporting, both for CNET and as a staff writer for etown.com. An unrepentant know-it-all, he holds a BA in English literature from the University at Albany.

Jessica Tsai, Assistant Editor

Jessica covers marketing and business intelligence for CRM magazine and destinationCRM.com. She received her BA from Wesleyan University, where she served as the editor-in-chief of the Wesleyan Yearbook. At university, Jessica displayed her writing talents in some of her published works for her psychology major. Jessica also pursued her interest in language and composition when she participated in a Duke Study Abroad program in China, where she completed classes in Chinese language and composition and tutored Chinese college students in English. Her December 2007 article, "Power to the People," was named one of the 25 Top Feature Articles in the 2008 Tabbies International Editorial & Design Awards.

Christopher Musico, Editorial Assistant

Christopher covers the contact center and the customer service industries for CRM magazine and destinationCRM.com. He received his BA from Seton Hall University, where he served as a news staff writer, copy editor, and opinion editor of The Setonian, the school's newspaper. As opinion editor, he took second place for Opinion Writing from the New Jersey Collegiate Press Association in 2006. During his time at Seton Hall, Christopher also interned for MSNBC, and Middletown, N.Y.'s Cable 6 TV.

Lauren McKay, Editorial Assistant

Lauren received her BA in Journalism from the University of Missouri. While at university she held several roles at Vox Magazine, which, according to its Web site "was named the best magazine produced by college students in the whole darn country." Some of her roles at Vox included department editor and contributing writer. Lauren also served as the education reporter at the Columbia Missourian in the Fall of 2005. Most recently, after moving to New York, she worked as an editorial intern at Working Mother Media.
