Michael Fauscette is the chief research officer at G2 Crowd, an online platform and community where people can connect and share experiences about business software and services, and gain user experience-based insight to support business software and services purchase decisions. As the chief research officer, he is responsible for strategic research, community management, and the analysis, packaging and use of data from B2B software and services users. Prior to joining G2 Crowd, Michael spent almost ten years as an executive and senior analyst at technology market research firm IDC. At IDC, he led the Worldwide Business Application Software Group as the group vice president. He also held senior consulting and services roles with software vendors ranging from large enterprise companies to startups, including Autodesk, Inc. and PeopleSoft, Inc.

Michael is also a published author, blogger, photographer and established industry thought-leader on emerging trends in business software, digital transformation and customer experience strategies. His recent focus on the business software buying process and influence is providing a fresh approach for businesses looking to improve business outcomes by making better technology acquisition decisions. He routinely speaks at a broad range of software industry and business conferences about emerging software trends and digital strategies in social, mobile, cloud, the networked business and improving the business software buying experience.
