Icarian will use the Pivotal system to enhance relationships with its customers, and provide company employees and partners with access to company data.
E-stamp, Xerox and Lucent Technologies will implement Annuncio Live, an Internet marketing solution from Los Altos, Calif.-based Annuncio Software, to automate their Internet marketing campaigns. E-stamp, the Internet postage provider, will use the solution to automate customer acquisition and loyalty campaigns, measure the success of online advertising and execute ongoing marketing programs. The WorkGroup Fax Business Unit of Xerox will use it to integrate a series of marketing campaigns, and at Lucent, the Messaging Solutions Group plans to use Annuncio Live to execute marketing programs and build customer profiles.
Frontier Communications, a $2.6 billion provider of integrated communications services, has successfully deployed Clarify CommCenter as part of its front office strategy. Frontier will use CommCenter to provide sales support and self-service capabilities for over 1 million access lines across the United states.
JDA Software, a provider of integrated retail software products and professional services, recently implemented WisdomWare's Sales Coaching solution. The WisdomWare system enables JDA to integrate sales data and make that data available throughout its global sales force.
The U.S. Postal Service has awarded a $67 million contract to NCR to provide retail system hardware and software, along with professional services and training, that will improve and expand the USPS's customer service. The deployment will include new Pentium-based retail work stations, electronic signature capture devices, omni-directional bar-code scanners for scanning of postal products and high-speed thermal printers.
Inso, an electronic publishing software vendor, has deployed OMNIDEX for ACT! from Dynamic Information Systems Corp. (DISC), a database access solutions vendor. OMNIDEX for ACT! provides two-way synchronization and immediate access to corporate databases. Using this addition, members of Inso's sales force can extend their ACT! 4.0 application into a corporate-wide sales force automation system.
Sharp Electronics recently completed a successful implementation of a custom, thin-client solution it designed with consulting and systems integration services provider Whittman-Hart. The newly implemented solution analyzes proposed sales agreements to determine the appropriate routing path. It then uses an "inbox metaphor" to alert recipients of the need to review and approve or reject a proposed agreement. Sharp hopes to improve customer service by reducing the amount of time it takes to process agreements.
Wards, one of the largest privately held retail chains in the United states, has chosen CRM vendor RTMS to automate its marketing processes. Wards will use RTMS' Archer marketing solution to analyze customer purchasing information at the individual transaction level. Using information from this analysis, the company will customize communications that target narrow groups or even single customers.
