Ford Dealerships Get a Helping Hand

Ford Motor Credit Company will use Virtual Representative technology from NativeMinds, a provider of automated, natural language customer service representatives for the Internet. Ford will use the online technical support to assist about 5,400 Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealerships in the United states and Canada that use Ford's Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS). Ford's WDS provides technicians with diagnoses, helping them to fix vehicles correctly the first time. Ford's Automotive Consumer Services Group will use NativeMinds' NeuroServer natural language technology to build and deploy vReps that answer questions and provide targeted Web content to dealer technicians. NativeMinds will integrate its vRep technology with Ford's existing Vantive CRM and OASIS support database systems. Because NativeMinds' software has an open architecture, the vRep will be able to integrate data from many different sources and will find information to answer questions, no matter where it resides in the network.

  • MindArrow, a provider of Web-based ASP (application service provider) solutions that enable delivery and tracking of targeted multimedia communications via the Internet, and Prime Response, provider of the Prime@Vantage e-mail and direct marketing suite, have agreed to jointly help organizations achieve customer interaction by incorporating eBrochures, Web-based multimedia messages, within Prime@Vantage. Prime Response customers will be able to deliver media marketing communications from a Web browser interface. The eBrochure technology combines video, audio, graphics and hyperlinks into compressed, self-contained files that are delivered via e-mail or downloaded from a Web page. Customers that create text via e-mail and the Web will now be able to execute targeted marketing messages using eBrochures.
  • Network Associates, a supplier of security and availability solutions for e-business, has implemented dfPower studio software from DataFlux, a developer of data cleansing and integration software. The software will streamline maintenance procedures on Network Associates' database of corporate customers. The DataFlux technology platform is a point-and-click technology that gives organizations the ability to eliminate duplicate records in large databases, identify and correct anomalies, provide data enhancement and data standardizations, as well as data integration between multiple databases.
  • iMedeon, a provider of wireless Web applications for mobile workforce management, was selected by Lumbee River Electric Membership Co-operative for its iM:Work software suite. The technology will enable integration of Lumbee River's mobile field service information from throughout the enterprise. Lumbee will implement iMedeon's software to enhance field service tasks. The suite consolidates work orders and electronically connects field crews with equipment, spare parts and proximity to the work location. Based in XML, the solution can adapt to new initiatives in computing and the Internet.
  • Sporteum, chosen by the Sporting Goods Association to establish a collaborative commerce platform, selected Efinity, a provider of Supply-Web information management solutions for manufacturers and their trading partners, as its instructor provider. In the agreement, Sporteum will offer Web-based order management, inventory visibility, vendor-managed inventory and forecasting functionality to its customers. Efinity's SWIM solutions will provide users the ability to visualize and collaborate on forecast, inventory and order information.
  • eCRM advertising agency, Grafica.com, has joined WindWire's Preferred Partner Program. WindWire, a provider of wireless advertising and marketing solutions, designed the program to give digital agencies, wireless publishers and service providers an opportunity to accelerate their success in the wireless advertising and marketing arena. WindWire will provide Grafica and its clients the opportunity to reach customers who are surfing the Wireless Internet, using mobile phones, PDAs (personal digital assistant) and two-way pagers.
  • SmartMail, a provider of expedited flat-sized mail and light parcel shipping services, has selected pure-play ASP Agilera's Extended Enterprise as its platform to support its Oracle financial applications. Agilera will assist in implementation and will host the Oracle E-business Suite for SmartMail, including Oracle Financials, Order Management, Financial Intelligence and applications for online sales and marketing.
