WinCo Foods has deployed the aisle411 platform, a mobile retail navigation service that helps shoppers find what they are looking for in-store, in its 79 stores in Washington, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon and Utah.
aisle411 empowers anyone with a mobile phone to find products and promotions in retail stores. With the aisle411 app, users can instantly locate products in stores down to the specific section of the aisle, manage shopping lists, share experiences with friends via social media integration, and find mobile coupons. The solution also includes voice recognition technology powered by Nuance Communications.
The aisle411 app is available for free for the iPhone from Apple's App Store; Android support is due later this year.
