VelociData, a provider of data transformation and data quality solutions, has partnered with Informatica to develop hyper-scale/hyper-speed big data analytics.

The joint solution increases offloading and accelerating processing by up to 1,000 times. It is available on a monthly subscription basis and snaps into existing architectures.

"For large corporate customers operating in fast-moving and highly competitive global markets, business success increasingly depends on being able to consistently cut through massive volumes of data in order to make fast, smart, fact-based decisions," said Brad Kern, senior vice president of channels and alliances at Informatica, in a statement. "VelociData empowers Informatica customers to achieve this speed and scale by offloading big data processing onto a uniquely engineered hardware platform that accelerates performance by multiple orders of magnitude."

"In terms of technical workloads, the demands being placed on IT by the business are growing exponentially, despite the fact that IT resources are growing slowly, if at all," said Ron Indeck, president and chief technology officer at VelociData, in a statement. "We look forward to working with Informatica and helping customers take advantage of our technologies for deploying hyper-scale/hyper-speed data analytic solutions."
