BlueRoads has announced that intrusion-prevention software provider Sana Security has deployed BlueRoads 5 to provide lead management to support its partner network. "Business realities are driving the need for effective partner-relationship management solutions that keep our partners motivated and actively engaged in our channel sales initiatives," says Timothy Eades, senior vice president of marketing, Sana Security. Eades feels that optimizing the indirect sales channel is one of the most effective weapons available in today's marketplace. As a rising vendor in the intrusion prevention market, Sana Security believes that leadership technology, compelling products, and loyal customers are best serviced through the pure channel approach. Interface Software announced that Irish corporate law firm Matheson Ormsby Prentice (MOP) has implemented InterAction as the cornerstone of the firm's CRM strategy. The firm will integrate InterAction with its Axxia management system to provide a complete, real-time view of its clients. "We wanted more than a centralized Rolodex," says Julie Matheson, MOP's marketing manager. "We chose InterAction because it was all encompassing yet easy for fee earners to use." The firm is using InterAction to consolidate lists and provide a single platform to conduct marketing and business development initiatives. The
San Francisco Giants baseball team has implemented a state-of-the-art wireless LAN from Nortel Networks at SBC Park, making the team's home park one of the first professional sports facilities in the world to provide public wireless access. This deployment has enabled the Giants to deliver a wireless program to fans via the Giants Digital Dugout, which provides instant replays, access to statistics, team information, and other services. According to Larry Baer, executive vice president and COO of the San Francisco Giants, the team plans to expand the services to include allowing fans to order food online, keep track of the game, and watch instant video replays. The Giants have equipped all ballpark suites with computers, flat-panel displays, and wireless accessories that provide Internet access, along with more exclusive content from the Giants Digital Dugout, including archived video footage. Ascential Software announced that Bank Gospodarki Zywnosciowej, the main provider of banking services to the Polish agricultural sector and rural areas, is using the Ascential Enterprise Integration Suite to complete data integration involving three million customers. The project involves integrating such data as customer addresses so the bank can deploy a reliable CRM system and launch more efficient marketing campaigns. RightAnswers, a support services provider, announced that SITEL, a provider of outsourced customer support services, has selected RightAnswers to improve customer service operations. With the help of RightAnswers, SITEL hopes to resolve customer problems more quickly and continue to improve its overall level of customer service. Selectica, a provider of pricing and quoting solutions, announced that Epicor Software has chosen the Selectica Enterprise Productivity Suite to improve its opportunity-to-order process. According to Jon Taylor, director of sales operations at Epicor, the firm needed a more effective sales ordering solution to better handle the company's growth.
