Through the acquisition of Marketic, Unica will gain more than 100 customers in such verticals as financial services, retail, and telecommunications. Unica will continue to sell Marketic solutions, which include software for campaign management and loyalty marketing. In addition, Marketic's customers will benefit from Unica's Affinium Suite's capabilities, including predictive analysis, data mining, multichannel campaign optimization, real-time event triggers, and marketing content management, the company says. The studies also reveal that the high-tech industry leads all other industries when it comes to using customer self-service technologies. The Sphaero Alliance was launched this week to meet the increasing information and service demands by corporate decision-makers in the United States who may be interested in outsourcing contact center operations to companies in the Caribbean, based on such requirements as level of proficiency, preparedness of its peoples, and geographic proximity. Included in the charter members are telecommunications technology providers Nortel Networks and Avaya.
