SDL Enhances Machine Translation for Customer Content
New machine translation capabilities further enhance global customer experience management.

SDL yesterday released a series of new machine translation (MT) capabilities in its Language Platform that will help businesses translate growing amounts of customer-facing content, whether on e-commerce sites, social media, or help forums. 

The enhanced platform offers MT integration with translation workflow, as well as a new self-training capability for translation teams to improve MT quality and dramatically improve translator productivity.

With SDL's new Language Platform capabilities, enterprises and language service providers will be able to train the SDL BeGlobal®machine translation software with SDL BeGlobal Trainer to deliver higher-quality automated translations and expand the types of content that can be translated. This includes real-time content such as chat, email and social media. 

Additionally, MT is now seamlessly integrated across the entire set of language technologies in the platform, including SDL WorldServer, SDL TMS, SDL GroupShare, and SDL Trados Studio.

From real-time free translation options to high-quality professional translations, SDL offers a holistic, end-to-end platform of translation solutions. "Our mission is to eliminate barriers to global communication by helping solve big language challenges within every industry," said Keith Laska, CEO of the SDL Language Technologies division, in a statement.
