· NewChannel Inc. announced that it has hired David Hanafee as its vice president of sales and marketing. He is responsible for leading sales and marketing efforts worldwide for the firm, which provides lead acquisition and eSales solutions. Hanafee, who has more than 18 years experience, joins NewChannel from Primus Knowledge Solutions where he helped drive the company's early success.
To support the Relizon Company's planned expansion of recently acquired Epsilon's strategic not-for-profit capabilities, the company has named Temple Elliott as vice president of direct response strategy for Epsilon. In this role, Elliott will apply her extensive marketing and business development experience to provide strategic guidance to key clients in the not-for-profit marketplace.
Elliott brings more than 20 years' management and marketing experience to Epsilon. Most recently, she was the director of membership for the United states Tennis Association (UstA) where she significantly increased the UstA's membership. Before joining the UstA, Elliott held leadership marketing positions at CARE, Inc. Prior to CARE, Elliott held various positions with Time Inc., AT&T and Time Life Video.
Fulfillment Plus Inc. (FFP), a provider of customer relationship management, teleservices and fulfillment products and services for the telecommunications industry, has appointed Christopher Purdy senior vice president of new business development. Purdy will focus on the teleservices industry and primarily will be responsible for creating and managing a new business development strategy, including developing cross-cultural direct marketing campaigns.
Purdy joins FFP from TelAc Teleservices Group/Access Worldwide Communications Inc. Most recently Purdy served as the executive vice president of business development. In that position, he was responsible for strategic planning and sales management. During his decade of experience in the teleservices industry, Purdy has pioneered numerous sales and customer service programs targeting niche and diversity markets.
· Nstein Technologies, Inc. has appointed Randall Marcinko to the position of president and chief operating Officer. Marcinko brings to the position more than 20 years of experience and a solid track record of success within the content management, e-publishing and online industries.
In 1980 Marcinko founded U.S.-based Dynamic Information Corp., a full-service information brokerage firm. Marcinko sold Dynamic to EBSCO in 1994, and was retained to create its document delivery division, EBSCOdoc. He has since founded other information technology companies, including Information Canada Ltd., and most recently MEI, an e-publishing services firm that designs and builds platforms for the retrieval and delivery of third party content.
Marcinko immediately assumes his role at Nstein, which develops and markets innovative content management software solutions based on linguistic artificial intelligence.
· Bluestar Solutions, a provider of enterprise application outsourcing services, names veteran SAP executive Norton Tyre vice president of sales for public services. Tyre, a recognized leader in the public services sector, brings 20 years of experience in the field of public services software applications. He was formerly vice president of public services CRM sales and vice president of state and local government sales for SAP America Inc., where he built the SAP Public Services practice for the global CRM initiative for all public services, federal, state and local, utility, healthcare, and education. Prior to that he served in a variety of senior management positions at SAP America Inc. focusing on the public sector market. Previously, he held executive positions in public sector state and local sales with Informix and JD Edwards.
· Rick Diana has joined ICP Inc. as vice president, storage solutions. Under Diana 's direction ICP, a strategic solution providers of information technology products and enterprise services, will be taking a proactive role to help clients effectively manage their critical storage issues.
Diana, a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College was previously channel manager at EMC Corporation, where he was recognized for his customer-centered approach, as well as his achievements in creating effective alliances and partnerships within the industry.
· Motiva Inc. (formerly Again Technologies), a provider of enterprise incentive management software, announced management team additions of Ray Gadbois as chief marketing officer, Robert McKelligan as vice president of product strategy, and Thomas McCleary as vice president of business development.
Gadbois was previously PeopleSoft's vice president of corporate marketing and also held marketing and management positions at Oracle. He is an active advisor to several high-tech companies and has been a visiting lecturer at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Gadbois holds an M.B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles and a B.S. in accounting from Bentley College.
McKelligan previously served as senior vice president of products at Icarian, vice president of product strategy at PeopleSoft and product marketing manager at Oracle Corporation. McKelligan's 19 years of product development, engineering, marketing and sales expertise include his most recent position as senior vice president of products at Icarian, where he directed product management, product marketing, engineering, consultation, hosting operations, customer service and account management activities. Prior to Icarian, McKelligan was vice president of product strategy at PeopleSoft and product marketing manager at Oracle Corporation. McKelligan holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a CPIM from the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
McCleary was the senior director of the partners program at Commerce One and also served as worldwide business development manager at Hewlett-Packard. Prior to Commerce One, McCleary served as worldwide business development manager at Hewlett-Packard, managing over $1 billion in product revenue and was responsible for establishing, monitoring and coordinating outbound marketing investments of over $80 million. McCleary received an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, an M.S. in media management from Emerson College and a B.A. in communications from the University of Southern Maine.
· Keith A. Midkiff, interim CFO of Interactive Intelligence, a global developer of interaction management software, was named as the company's new chief financial officer today. Midkiff has been interim CFO for Interactive Intelligence since Oct. 31, 2001, when incumbent CFO Michael J. Tavlin resigned. Midkiff had been vice president of finance since March 1999 and had been controller since joining the firm in February 1997.
Prior to Interactive Intelligence, Midkiff served as CFO for Alta Analytics from December 1996 to February 1997, and as controller for Software Artistry from June 1993 to December 1996. Midkiff holds an M.B.A. degree from Indiana University and a dual B.S. degree in accounting and finance from Ohio state University.
