PeopleSoft announced this week that its 170 enterprise software programs are now available in Linux versions. The company says the Linux versions will be priced the same as other versions of its software. The company also announced this week it has partnered with Camp Gemini Ernst & Young (CGE&Y) to deliver CIO OneSource, which combines PeopleSoft's Enterprise Service Automation for IT and CGE&Y's IT practice expertise. This cobranded solution is designed to help CIOs align projects with corporate objectives, reduce IT project delivery costs, and improve service levels, the company says. QlikTech recently released its QlikView 6 business intelligence software. The product features improved data integration capabilities, new chart types and selection tools (e.g., a slider), and intuitive what-if analysis with real-time responses. "The goal is to be able to flip the data into action," says Christer Berg, president and CEO of QlikTech. QlikView 6 offers complete Windows automation API, which allows it to launch within, say, Excel and vice versa. And it supports 64-bit Itanium environments, which allows it to handle an unlimited volume of data. It is available in online and offline versions, and works in a mixed environment. e-talk this week announced new functionality for quality monitoring solution e-talk Recorder. Recorder 4.0 is designed for contact centers focused on 100 percent call recording to better manage customer transactions, dispute resolution, and overall risk management. AMC Technology has launched its Interaction Assistant for MS CRM. The company says the product allows users of Microsoft CRM to manage their contacts more effectively by delivering interaction controls right to their desktop. AMC says the Interaction Assistant delivers the same functions and features typically found in a formal call center environment: Users can view contact information and activity history, search the solutions database for information, and transfer contacts to other users, with full drag and drop capabilities.
Answerthink has introduced Rapid Insight, a business intelligence solution designed to add decision-making support and financial analytics to enterprise systems. The company says the solution combines the capabilities of financial analytics software with integrated best practices and business metrics from The Hackett Group, an Answerthink company. TechSmith released Camtasia Studio 1.1 this week, which allows customer service managers to create rich content FAQ pages so customers can see and hear how to perform functions of any software application over the Web, which can reduce customer calls and bolster self-service initiatives. The company says the product can also be used for agent training, creating dynamic online marketing materials, and adding to a knowledge base, as well as included as tutorials when shipping new software applications.
