Motive Lands Deal With Japanese PC Manufacturer

Tokyo-based IT solutions provider Fujitsu Limited has deployed Motive Communications' Intelligent Service Solution in Japan, marking Motive's entry into the Asia-Pacific market.

Fujitsu will install Motive's ServiceNet platform on its PC products in Japan over the next year, Motive said. The platform is designed to allow Fujitsu to provide self-help and external service and support to its consumers on Fujitsu PCs.

Motive, based in Austin, Texas, has already deployed its ServiceNet solution on PCs from Fujitsu PC Corporation, the company's North American subsidiary.

"Fujitsu Limited has established itself as one of the top technology companies in the world by not only offering some of the leading computer products, but also backing them up with strong customer service," said Mike Maples, Motive's vice president of product development.

"Motive is the clear leader in the automated service market, and we look forward to working together to provide our customers a smoother, more enjoyable computing experience," said Kenji Hirai, manager of product planning & development, personal systems business group at Fujitsu Limited.
