Oakwood Homes selects MicroStrategy; EDS Agility Alliance adds three partners; and more.

CUSTOMER WINS MicroStrategy, a provider of BI software, announced that Oakwood Homes phased out its Crystal Reports environment and recently expanded its MircroStrategy deployment. Several hundred Oakwood Homes employees across finance, sales, and building operations groups will receive MicroStrategy operational reports daily. Oakwood employees will use the reports to gather proper documentation to ensure home closing processes. Oakwood is expecting the recently introduced reports to reduce the average number of days a service request is open by 20 percent.
Oracle, SAP, and Siebel Systems have joined the EDS Agility Alliance, a federation of global technology companies assembled to design, develop, and deliver EDS's global delivery system, EDS Agile Enterprise Platform. Oracle, SAP, and Siebel will join the EDS Agility Alliance's six other partners (Cisco, Dell, EMC, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, and Xerox) to deliver application services as a component of the EDS Agile Enterprise Platform.
ON THE MOVE Chris Selland has signed on with Covington Associates, an investment bank in Boston, as an independent consultant. He will focus on mergers and acquisitions in the enterprise software and service industry.
NEW PRODUCTS OutlookSoft, a provider of business performance management solutions, announced the release of Everest Version 4.2, the latest version of its Microsoft-based BPM application. The new release includes Everest Insight for predictive analytics and automated analysis, new audit and compliance capabilities, performance and scalability advances, and numerous customer-driven enhancements.
Motive, a provider of management software, announced a new on-demand, hosted service for broadband management. The offering, Motive OnDemand for Broadband, is a subscription-based service designed to meet demands for a solution for automating broadband service management. Motive OnDemand for Broadband will allow users to build intelligent automation into subscriber activation and support services.
