CUSTOMER WINS Vettro, a provider of mobile enterprise applications, announced that Phoenix Life Insurance Company has selected Vettro RainMaker for its sales managers and wholesalers, while having access to Salesforce.com via BlackBerry from Research in Motion. Phoenix Life will use RainMaker to gather assets and allow field wholesalers to create, access, and update sales information directly from their BlackBerry devices. The new application will be directly integrated with the company's Salesforce.com service, and is expected to reduce response time to customers' requests.
TeleTech Holdings, a provider of customer management and BPO solutions, announced the launch of its new InCulture service offering. The offering will initially focus on providing real-time language translation services, known as over-the-phone interpretation, for its clients' customers in multiple languages. Clients will provide customers with 24-hour service regardless of what language they speak. VoiceLog, a provider of third-party verification (TPV), announced the availability of Total Script Control for its live agent verification services. Total Script Control will analyze the recordings of up to 100 percent of VoiceLog TPV transactions to determine if the agent asked all the required questions. Calls that don't match the required script are flagged for review by a live quality-control supervisor and corrective action is taken. This comes at a time when the FCC and state public utility companies have been fining companies for failing to ask required questions in their TPV scripts. NEWS Blue Martini Software announced that is has expanded its global reseller program in the United States by signing SkillNet Solutions into the program. The relationship extends an existing partnership between the two companies, which includes providing solutions for joint customers. As part of the program SkillNet will resell Blue Martini commerce, marketing, and selling applications, and bundle SkillNet services like consulting, implementation, and hosting. SkillNet will receive training, technical support, joint marketing, and joint business planning as part of Blue Martini's reseller program. ON THE MOVE Vocent Solutions, a voice security solutions provider, announced that Jeffrey Scheel has joined the company as president and CEO. Scheel has 18 years' experience in enterprise software and systems. Prior to joining Vocent Scheel was vice president and general manager for CRM products at Siebel Systems.
