The CRM Association is opening up chapters across America, in response to swelling demand for more information about CRM technology and implementation practices. Chapters are currently forming in the following areas: Baltimore/Washington D.C.; Chicago; Dallas; Philadelphia; San Diego; Seattle; and Silicon Valley.
CRMSouthEast, the founding chapter of CRM Association, started in March 2000 by an independent organizing committee. The non-profit organization has since grown to more than 200 members in the Atlanta area and a subscriber list of more than 1,000 people from around the world.
Members receive CRM research from analyst firms; invitations to monthly breakfasts, at which CRM analysts espouse their latest findings; information on various CRM-related events; and discounts on various events; among other perks.
Two weeks ago the CRM Association opened its second chapter in Silicon Valley, and the response was overwhelming, according to the CRM Association. "For some time we've been hearing from businesspeople across the nation who wanted to build upon our success here in Atlanta," said Ginger Cooper, founder of the CRM Association, in a statement. "While we wanted to assist them, we also wanted to 'work out the kinks' at the local level before launching a national organization. Now we're ready, and we're extremely excited about our recent growth and plans for the future."
