CUSTOMER WINS Nextel Communications has selected
SAS to support its overall marketing strategy using SAS Marketing Automation and SAS Marketing Optimization. These tools will help Nextel identify the best way to match its customers with the right products and send tailored messages using various marketing channels, according to SAS. Corporate Express has selected MicroStrategy as its enterprise BI standard. MicroStrategy's BI software will enable approximately 2,000 employees to monitor business performance at the corporate and divisional level, receive highly visual dashboards, and perform interactive enterprise reporting and analysis. Coremetrics has partnered with FundsXpress to help financial institutions improve online performance and account-holder relationships. Banks and credit unions can use Coremetrics' tools to access a complete record of every click taken on its site to improve marketing campaigns, site usability, and general account-holder experience. DataFlux has announced two new partnerships. The first is an agreement with StayinFront to offer branded data quality software and services to improve customer relationships in the life sciences industry. The second is an alliance with Platon Data Technology GmbH to give DataFlux customers access to Platon's global reference database system. IN THE NEWS Onyx Software is adding analytics and business process management to its CRM products as part of a major business refocusing announced this week. Onyx will incorporate Visuale's business process management functions, as well as analytics and reporting technology from partner Cognos into its product and service offerings. NEW PRODUCTS Siebel Systems has announced its newest solutions for customer self-service and e-billing. Siebel Self-Service Cards and Siebel Self-Service for Communications are industry-specific packaged offerings that enable service providers to manage every aspect of their service relationships online. Azerity has launched Azerity On Demand. The industry-specific design delivers ready-to-use sales best practices, including design win tracking, account management, quote and price management, and sales forecasting. It is a pay-as-you-go hosted solution, which can be deployed effortlessly and affordably without large upfront IT investments, according to the company. ON THE MOVE Alcatel has named Mike Quigley president and COO, replacing Philippe Germond. Quigley started with Alcatel in 1971. Darren Huston is the new president of Microsoft Japan. He previously worked in the United States on small business services. He replaces Michael Rawding, who is now corporate vice president for global sales and marketing of MSN. NSI Software has named Dean Goodermote CEO. He replaces Don Beeler, and has management experience at Clinsoft, Process Software, and MRO Software.
