Anametrix, a cloud-based data analytics platform, today launched the Anametrix Plug-in for Microsoft Excel to give users a bidirectional exchange between all of their data connection points and one of their preferred places for reports and calculations.
Using Anametrix, a marketer, brand manager, business analyst, or a person in charge of financials, can pull in data for analysis from as diverse a channel set as social listening platform Radian6, marketing and Web analytics platform Omniture, Google Ad Manager, the Salesforce.com CRM system, and financial systems data. This data can then be viewed in real time through the user's Web browser and iOS, Android, or Blackberry mobile devices.
"We relate the data between these different (systems) so you can understand how your Web data, along with your social and email data, is actually bringing people to your Web site, and how that information may relate to market share data or data from Nielsen or comScore," comments Pelin Thorogood, CEO of Anametrix.
With the launch of the Excel plug-in, Anametrix customers who rely on the spreadsheet application for reporting reasons, which Thorogood says constitutes about 50 percent of its user base, now have automatic access to multichannel data right within the Excel interface.
The Excel plug-in provides access to four buttons within the spreadsheet interface—Query, Refresh, Upload, and Schedule. "You're creating your reports with data coming from multiple sources, which includes reach and engagement information, conversion information…whatever it is that you want to compare and correlate," Thorogood says. Within Excel, there is an automatic Refresh button to immediately synch the latest Anametrix data or to set a certain frequency of updates when reporting.
If a marketer wants to upload information into Excel that is not housed in Anametrix, such as in-store survey responses to match up against online survey response data, they can do so without compromising Anametrix data sets.
The Excel plug-in is available now for free for all Anametrix users. Pricing for Anametrix is not based on individual user but, instead, on the number of data sources connected to the platform.
