Vibes Brings Mobile Solutions to IBM's UBX

Vibes, a provider of mobile marketing technology, is bringing its mobile marketing and mobile wallet solutions to IBM's Universal Behavior Exchange (UBX) ecosystem, a key component of the IBM Marketing Cloud.

IBM officially launched the UBX yesterday as a way for companies to unify data from all their disparate systems. In addition to Vibes, other companies that comprise the list of IBM's 15 launch partners include MutualMind, Spredfast, and SugarCRM.

Through the partnership, Vibes' Catapult mobile marketing platform, which also includes text messaging , push notifications, and mobile analytics systems, is now available to organizations that subscribe to UBX. The company's mobile wallet solutions support both Apple Wallet and Android Pay.

"IBM's Marketing Cloud now has some very strong mobile components," Mark Tack, vice president of marketing at Vibes, boasts. "With this combination, mobile can now be a very important part of any business. It gives companies the ability to incorporate mobile touchpoints anywhere throughout their marketing journey."

UBX offering brings together several of IBM's main marketing components, which itgained during the acquisitions of Silverpop, Unica, DemandTec, CoreMetrics, Xtify, and a few other companies.

"UBX is a way for companies to tie together all of the systems they use to drive the customer journey," Tack says. "Companies can drag and drop components without having to involve their IT departments. It allows companies to connect all of their marketing tools together."

By joining IBM's UBX ecosystem, Vibes gives marketers greater visibility into key data for mobile marketing campaigns. Marketing teams can then use that information to significantly increase conversion and improve the customer journey, whether through mobile wallet (Apple Wallet for iPhone, Android Pay for Android phones), push notifications, or text messaging (SMS/MMS), according to Tack.

 Through UBX, Vibes' mobile marketing platform is integrated with a number of IBM's Commerce offerings, which will allow customers to do the following:

  • Personalize mobile campaigns with IBM Campaign for targeted text messaging, mobile wallet offers, and more;
  • Connect Web site and e-commerce behavioral data and insights from IBM Digital Analytics with all mobile marketing touchpoints;
  • Leverage email insight from IBM Marketing Cloud to better communicate with customers via mobile and deliver targeted mobile wallet offers (Apple Wallet and Android Pay) via email; and
  • Manage and send push notifications with IBM Engage Mobile based on customer data, behavior, and business rules.

Vibes also works with other IBM Marketing Cloud systems to trigger transactional and service-oriented mobile messages, like appointment reminders and service updates.

"We're excited to be working with IBM and to bring our text message marketing, mobile wallet marketing, and push notification capabilities to the UBX platform," said Jack Philbin, co-founder and CEO of Vibes, in a statement. "With UBX, marketers can drive revenue using innovative mobile marketing channels while also connecting mobile to all other digital marketing events. UBX is cracking the code on big data applied to the marketing cloud, and w'’re thrilled to be a part of this emerging ecosystem."
