• CRM and Web Services expert Jesper Andersen, former Oracle Corp. vice president of online CRM services, joins Pivotal Corp.
as executive vice president of products. Andersen successfully built, launched, and led Oracle's first venture into Web services. Now Andersen will lead Pivotal's technology vision and product development, including the development of Pivotal's next-generation CRM suite, which will be released later this calendar year. Andersen has more than 13 years of experience in the technology industry, and most recently spent four years at Oracle Corp. • Online CRM provider Salesforce.com has unveiled that former Oracle executive Phil Barker has joined the company as senior vice president of global services. Barker will lead the company's global consulting, implementation, and integration efforts for salesforce.com's Fortune 2000 customers. Barker has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Most recently he served as vice president of professional servicesfor Aspect Communications, where he led its global professional services organization. Prior to Aspect, Barker served as global practice leader for business systems at marchFirst. Barker spent nine years at Oracle Corp., where he served in a number of roles, including regional vice president. • PlaceWare President and Chief Executive Barry James Folsom has been promoted to Chairman of PlaceWare's board of directors. Folsom is receiving this promotion as a result of PlaceWare's significant business successes over the past four years. During his leadership PlaceWare has increased revenues every year. • ePeople Inc., a developer of Internet-based collaborative CRM applications, named enterprise software marketing veteran Anil Gupta as vice president of product marketing and strategy. Gupta is charged with ensuring that market and customer requirements are translated into products. Gupta brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing enterprise applications, most recently as vice president of strategy and marketing at Evolve Software. Before Evolve, Gupta served as vice president of marketing for Broadbase Software (which merged with Kana Corporation). Gupta also served as the vice president of marketing at Niku Corporation and vice president of product and industry marketing with Baan. • Simtrex Corp., which provides simulation training software for contact center agents, announces the addition of John A. Lamb as vice president of business development for Simtrex. He will oversee the strategic development of new business opportunities through partnerships and alliances. Lamb brings more than 20 years of technology-related business experience to Simtrex. Prior to joining Simtrex, he was chief operating officer for Atraxis North America, a global IT outsourcing and software solutions provider for the airline industry. Lamb also held various senior level positions with eShare Communications, where he was responsible for strategic marketing, alliances and acquisition strategy. Lamb holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Syracuse University. • Neal East has been appointed senior vice president of field operations for Xtime Inc., a services provider of automation solutions. East will oversee Xtime's sales and professional services organizations. East is an 18-year veteran of high technology sales, product development, and executive management, most recently as cofounder and CEO of LiveCode, which provides customized Web applications to the financial services industry. East, who began his sales career at IBM, holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley. • Kamoon Inc., which provides enterprise expertise management, has appointed Dennis Bennie to the strategic observer seat of Kamoon's board of directors. Bennie is a 20-year technology industry veteran, leading pioneer, entrepreneur, and innovator. Bennie, is cofounder and head of XDL Intervest Capital Corp., a successor to XDL Capital Corp., also founded by him. Previously Bennie was CEO of Delrina Corporation, an independent software developer and publisher, and founded and managed the original XDL Ventures Fund. Bennie is also a Director of and advisor to CompanyDNA, Delano Technology Corporation, Entercept Security Technologies, MGI Software Corp., Novator Systems Ltd., The Protege Group, and Tucows Inc. • Richard Hochhauser was promoted to president and chief executive of Harte-Hanks Inc., a worldwide, CRM marketing services and targeted mediacompany. Previously, he was president and COO. Hochhauser is succeeding Larry Franklin, who will remain chairman of the board. Hochhauser joined Harte-Hanks in 1975, assumed management of the company's direct marketing operations in 1987, and was named chief operating officer of the overall company in 1998. He has been a corporate officer since 1980. Hochhauser is a past chairman of the Direct Marketing Association, and is a member of the DMA Board of Directors. He is a member of the Advisory Council, Center for Direct Marketing, New York University. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and received a master's degree in business administration from Columbia University. • Rosen/Brown Direct, an integrated marketing firm, has promoted Daniel deMoulin to vice president of creative and technology and has hired Michael Morris as production designer. In his new position deMoulin will serve as a part of Rosen/Brown's three-person executive team and lead the agency's overall creative department, which includes developing emerging marketing technologies. Most recently deMoulin served as Rosen/Brown's new media director where he was responsible for the agency's interactive team. Prior to joining Rosen/Brown, deMoulin operated his own company, Active Media Group Inc., a marketing communications firm. deMoulin has more than 20 years experience in marketing communications. Prior to joining Rosen/Brown Direct, Morris served as junior art director for Lewis Clark/Advertising Design. Morris holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Harding University.
