XML data management solution provider Coherity Inc. is expected on Tuesday to unveil its new name - the company was formerly called PyBiz, a deal to provide Hewlett-Packard Co. with a data management solution and an investment from Accenture. The two year-old Palo Alto, Calif.-based company is changing its name to reflect a more positive image towards business users. Coherity provides an XML based infrastructure for integrating and aggregating corporate information at the enterprise level. "PyBiz was a great name but our investors felt it sounded like it was targeted at more of the regular tech audience, rather than the business user," said Ken Tsai, director of product marketing for Coherity. Coherity is also expected to unveil that its CRM product, Integrated Customer Care solution (ICC), is being used by Hewlett Packard to centralize and manage profiles from disparate applications, reducing costs associated with the management of data. In addition, Accenture has made an investment in Coherity, joining Mobius Venture Capital as the company's primary investors.
