Maximizer Aims to Let the Little Guy Play
Maximizer Software offers one new and one enhanced CRM product for teams of fewer than 50 users.

Most CRM vendors pitch their products as enterprise-wide offerings that can connect members of a given organization no matter how large the organization may be. But what happens when businesses don't have the need (or the dollars) to buy such far-reaching products? Maximizer, a CRM solutions provider, recently released editions of its Version 11 CRM product geared toward teams of fewer than 50 networked users.

The enhanced Entrepreneur Edition, built for organizations with up to five networked users, is designed primarily for contact management functionality. The new Team Edition serves organizations with 5-50 networked users that seek advanced sales opportunity management and collaboration

When CRM magazine covered the Version 11 release, Barton Goldenberg, president and founder, ISM, Inc. lauded the product and the company. "Maximizer has made forward steps in terms of staying up with the times, and in leading in certain areas," he said. "The clean interface, the functionality, richness, and the mobility thrust is pretty impressive."

Goldenberg offers the same high praise for the new Maximizer offerings.

"[Maximizer] is a very impressive, very competent, technically advanced group," Goldenberg says. "They were sensitive to different price points and user needs. They've acknowledged that some people don't need a huge system." 

Team edition offers advanced sales opportunity management, which enables companies to create sales teams within the system, according to a Maximizer press release. Sales managers are able to leverage insight into the status of sales deals with real-time access to better focus resources and facilitate stronger collaboration to close keydeals. With included HTML email templates, sales team members can "quickly merge customer information for timely sales outreach and follow-up activities," the press release says.

Team Edition is priced at $549 per license. The price includes desktop and mobile access, as well as one year of inclusive upgrade assurance and technical support.

The enhanced Entrepreneur Edition is available for $199 and includes desktop access with the option for mobile access as an add-on product with additional license fees.

Included in Team Edition and available as an add-on product for Entrepreneur Edition, is the new Maximizer Mobile CRM product, which is delivered via BlackBerry devices. Maximizer Mobile features "optimized usability, such as a redesigned interface, tighter integration with native BlackBerry applications, and more end-to-end features that enable deeper interaction with real-time customer data," according to the Maximizer press release.  

Specific new Maximizer Mobile CRM offerings include:

  • Real-time access to content stored in the central Maximizer CRM database;
  • Global Positioning System functionality;
  • multimedia support for video, voice and images that can be easily saved to a current Maximizer CRM record; and
  • mobile CRM multi-user support.

Team and Entrepreneur Editions complete the rollout of Maximizer CRM 11 — a product designed to expand sales force automation capabilities and tools.

Founded in 1987, Maximizer has sold more than 1 million licenses to more than 120,000 customers. The company was named as an industry leader in CRM's 2009 Market Awards for Small-Business Suite CRM.
