Customer Wins Amdocs announced an agreement with
R.H. Donnelley, a yellow pages publisher and directional media company, for Amdocs to upgrade and modernize RHD systems with Amdocs iGen Platform. The product is a Web-customer suite of business applications. The agreement will also extend RHD's managed services with Amdocs through 2009. These include day-to-day data center operations and ongoing programming support. IEX, a provider of workforce management and business technology for contact centers, announced that VoIP and videophone services company 8x8 has selected its TotalView Workforce Management Small Center system. 8x8 hopes the new application will provide accurate call forecasts and produce efficient agent schedules. On the Move Pegasystems announced the resignation of Henry Ancona as president, COO, and director of the company, effective immediately. Alan Trefler, the chairman and CEO, will assume the responsibilities of the management positions vacated by Ancona. Oracle has replaced two more top PeopleSoft executives: Ron Wohl, executive vice president for applications development, and Michael Rocha, executive vice president of global support services. Wohl will remain with the company in an as-yet-unnamed capacity. John Wookey, an Oracle senior vice president who previously oversaw Oracle's finance software and CRM applications, will assume Wohl's duties. Rocha will be replaced by Juergen Rottler, who was hired in September to oversee Oracle's on-demand services, and who will now also be responsible for application support. News Dendrite International has completed the acquisition of BuzzerPDMA, a provider of compliance and auditing outsourcing services to the life sciences industry. BuzzerPDMA will retain its name and senior management structure. The acquisition was an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $10 million, and is expected to be neutral or slightly accretive in 2005.
