ON THE MOVE Oracle fired PeopleSoft's Copresident and CFO Kevin Parker, and three other executives, a few days after assuming control of the software maker for $10.3 billion. Oracle also let go of Philip Wilmington, copresident; Nanci Caldwell, CMO; and James Shaughnessy, general counsel. Oracle named Charles Phillips Jr. and Safra Catz as copresidents, and named Harry You to the position of CFO. Daniel Cooperman was named senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary. Oracle officially took control of PeopleSoft last Wednesday. Open Solutions, a provider of integrated financial-services technologies, announced that long-term directors Douglas Carlisle and David Dame would step down from its board effective December 31, 2004. Douglas Carlisle, who is a managing director of Menlo Ventures, the first venture firm to invest in Open Solutions, has been on the board since 1994. David Dame, managing director of Key Principal Partners, LLC, has been on the board since 2000. Customer Wins AsiaInfo Holdings, a provider of software, solutions, and services to telecom operators and enterprises in China, announced that Beijing Mobile, a branch of China Mobile, will implement phase II upgrades to the carrier's operational customer relationship management (OCRM) system, China's first telecommunications OCRM system. The implementation will improve Beijing Mobile's OCRM system via enhancements in the handling and tracking of sales orders, customer requests, quotations, credit checks, and other related data. NEWS Technology Solutions Company (TSC) and ZAMBA announced the closing of TSC's acquisition of ZAMBA, a CRM services company. The transaction, which was approved by ZAMBA's shareholders, became effective December 31, 2004. Each share of ZAMBA common will be converted to 0.15 TSC common shares.
