Firepond Suite Chosen by Major Furniture Maker

Fortune 500 furniture manufacturer steelcase has selected a Firepond suite to assist the company in the sales of its office environment products and services.

steelcase, based in strasbourg, France, plans to use Firepond's SalesPerformer Suite in its international sales and distribution operations. The sales suite will first be deployed in Europe and then be extended to efforts in Asia-Pacific, South America and the Middle East, the comapanies said.

The Waltham, Mass.-based CRM solutions provider said it will design the system to run in the 7 languages and 14 currencies used by steelcase International's over 800 dealer locations worldwide.

steelcase operates over 40 families of office furniture and associated products and services. The company also maintains dedicated catalogs for its major customers. By implementing the SalesPerformer, Firepond hopes to better coordinate steelcase's international operations and improve the efficiency of the manufacturer's sales staff, the company said.
