Bradley Pharmaceuticals selects StayinFront; Kanisa and ServiceWare Technologies complete merger; Hummingbird keeps humming with a new release; and more.

CUSTOMER WINS Bradley Pharmaceuticals selected StayinFront as its CRM partner and will implement StayinFront Visual Elk, the CRM platform, and Panorama, a data analysis and decision support tool. Bradley Pharmaceuticals will use Visual Elk to capture electronic signatures and track sample distribution and inventory management. LivePerson, a provider of communication solutions for online sales, marketing, and customer service, announced that The Stanley Works, a provider of tools, hardware, security, and home improvement products, has implemented Timpani online communications platform. The deployment will be across Stanley Work's Web properties and will route, track, respond to, and report on incoming customer inquiries. In addition, the system will work in conjunction with Timpani Self-Service, LivePerson knowledge-base solution to deliver answers to online visitors. M.A. Mortenson Company, one of the largest construction companies in the United States, selected Oracle's E-Business Suite for its enterprise resource planning. The implementation is expected to improve efficiency and visibility in the company's financial, human resources, project management, and asset equipment management functions and give a single view of data and business operations. Cognos announced that Trillium Health Centre, has agreed to a seven-year initiative, called Transforming Healthcare into Integrated Networks of Knowledge, to enable the hospital to be more responsive to patients, providers, staff, and the community. The initiative is aimed at simplifying information access and exchange among stakeholders. IN THE NEWS WebSideStory, has agreed to acquire Avivo, a provider of on-demand digital marketing applications, and will launch a new suite of integrated services for online marketing professionals. Upon completion of the merger, WebSideStory will combine Avivo's hosted site search and Web content management applications with WebSideStory's HBX Web analytics service and release an integrated, on-demand, digital marketing application.
ServiceWare Technologies, a provider of knowledge management solutions for service and support, and Kanisa announced the completion of their merger. Headquartered in Cupertino, Calif., the name of the combined company will be announced shortly. The combined company will have a customer base of more than 170 market leaders and will continue to leverage its strategic reseller partnerships with Hewlett-Packard, AmdocsClarify, and Capgemini. ON THE MOVE Churchill Downs has appointed international marketing executive Tim Scott as the company's senior vice president of sales and marketing. Scott most recently served as senior vice president of marketing for AMF Bowling Worldwide. He will be responsible for company-wide strategic marketing initiatives and oversee marketing budgets, branding, and advertising initiatives, market research, and product development. New PRODUCTS SilkRoad Technology, provider of enterprise-class content management and collaboration software, has released InstantEngage, a CRM tool to help companies interact more efficiently with potential customers via a tailored chat function. InstantEngage provides businesses with a tool that engages with prospects proactively or passively and will provide customer service representatives with visitor information, including pages viewed and click-through patterns. Hummingbird, a global provider of integrated enterprise content management solutions, unveiled Hummingbird Enterprise 2005, the next generation of its enterprise content management platform. The release offers new functionality to help customers maximize the value of their business content, including managing end-to-end-content life cycle processes, minimizing deployment time, and ensuring business content is traceable and auditable.
