Ellucian Announces Enterprise Constituent Relationship Management Solution

Ellucian today released Ellucian Enterprise CRM for the higher education market, enabling schools to target key constituent groups for holistic relationship building. It includes solutions for recruiting, student success, and advancement along with general CRM capabilities for the entire campus.

The Ellucian Enterprise CRM& platform is built on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform and includes higher education-specific data models, business logic, workflows, dashboards, and reports. It takes full advantage of the Ellucian Extensible Ecosystem (Ellucian XE) strategy to enable real-time access and synchronization with the broader Ellucian solution portfolio.

True to the Ellucian XE strategy, Ellucian Enterprise CRM provides unparalleled integration and interoperability with core administrative systems, empowering multiple departments to glean the insights needed for personalized and timely constituent engagement. Institutions can choose an on-premises or a software-as-a-service deployment model.

"Over the last several years, the market position of smaller, higher education-specific CRM vendors has weakened as they struggle to keep pace with the rapidly evolving capabilities of this solution category, particularly in the area of multichannel communications. As a result, many institutions are turning to non-industry-specific horizontal platforms," said Nicole Engelbert, practice leader for industry technologies at Ovum, in a statement. "Ellucian's development of a higher education-specific CRM on a leading third-party enterprise platform changes the game by offering the best of both worlds. Ovum anticipates strong uptake of this new solution in 2014."

"Ellucian is the only company that provides this powerful combination of an integrated, enterprise class technology platform with higher education-specific solutions that support the full student lifecycle," said Mark Jones, senior vice president and chief product officer at Ellucian, in a statement. "This ensures that customers have an extensible CRM platform that supports their unique processes for enrollment, student success, and development, and will grow with them as their needs evolve."
