Blackbaud Adds New Analytics Tools to The Raiser’s Edge

Blackbaud yestrerday announced that The Raiser’s Edge now comes with even more ways to help nonprofits deliver on their missions, including The Blackbaud Giving Score, a new prospect research tool that helps nonprofits target and identify potential supporters, then engage and cultivate them into donors.

The Raiser’s Edge provides a hosted solution to track all the details associated with building supporter relationships with online marketing functionality, including online donation and registration, email communications, and targeted fundraising campaigns to help nonprofits acquire, engage, and cultivate supporters.

“The Raiser’s Edge enables organizations to communicate with supporters the way they want to be communicated with. It enables organizations to send targeted appeals via email and direct mail, and publish eNewsletters based on interests,” said Kevin Mooney, Blackbaud’s president of general markets. “With the addition of The Giving Score, The Raiser’s Edge helps nonprofits understand who to target and how to effectively communicate with them.”

Nonprofits, like Angel Foundation, have turned to The Raiser’s Edge to lead constituents through a journey with multichannel marketing and engagement. Angel Foundation provides financial assistance for adult cancer patients to meet non-medical basic living needs, and its Facing Cancer Together program provides education and support for young families with a parental cancer diagnosis in the Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn. metro area. Looking for a way to track donors, volunteers, and employees, Angel Foundation selected The Raiser’s Edge to manage fundraising and development initiatives, process online giving, and multichannel communications.

The Blackbaud Giving Score analyzes supporters based on their capacity and likelihood to give to an organization using information from their financial background and affinity with an organization’s mission. It segments a nonprofit’s contacts into four categories, assigning a score to the constituent records, tagging them with identities, and providing a fundraising strategy.

The Raiser’s Edge includes analytics and data enrichment services that will help nonprofits:

  • Target and identify supporters, ensuring the accuracy of data to drive successful campaigns, uncover hidden potential in data, and earn greater returns.
  • Communicate and Educate, using prebuilt filters and queries to communicate and increase website traffic.
  • Engage and Cultivate, managing the donor lifecycle with reporting dashboards and online donation forms.
  • Appreciate and Retain, by efficiently recognizing the contributions of supporters.
