Symon Upgrades Real-time Messaging Solution

Symon Communications, a provider of real-time communications and messaging systems, has released Version 2.0 firmware for its NetBrite LED wallboards.

With the release of the new firmware, Symon has upgraded the memory limitations of its LED displays, which are commonly used as visual communications tools in contact centers. Symon anticipated this announcement by building NetBrite displays with extra memory and a faster processor than initially needed. This provides NetBrite customers with the ability to upgrade and use their displays in new ways. All these new upgrades can be achieved without having to touch the actual display.

With Version 2.0, multiple messages can be sent to multiple areas with different timeouts. Other new features include: enhanced upgrade monitor, bootup mode, text-to-speech capabilities, .wav file abilities, extra display areas and the addition of a multi-line/panel option. An enhanced Telnet session now shows the time, name and types of memory utilization and availability.

Version 2.0 began shipping October 1, and is available free of charge to all Symon customers with NetBrite maintenance agreements.
