SOCi Announces Instagram Integration
The social media marketer, which allows businesses to manage their social media pages on a single platform, adds Instagram to the mix.

Social media marketing and management platform SOCi today announced a compatibility with Instagram, the latest in its roster of social media integrations. The company already offers management tools for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google Plus, providing organizations with a means of managing their social media pages through a single platform.

SOCi provides features aimed at simplifying the social media management process. The Content Center uses algorithms to report on the success of social content, assigning posts a numerical score and providing recommendations; the Smart Scheduler enables users to post to multiple pages at optimized local times with a single click. The solution also allows organizations to manage comments, reviews, and notifications that they receive on social media, as well as expedite the process of administrative approval with internet- and mobile-based approval portals.

The platform features a number of other tools designed to assist organizations with their social media strategies. The Asset Management feature scores social posts from outside sources to find content that is brand-relevant, and the Lead Generation feature enables users to publish images and campaigns to multiple pages simultaneously. Additionally, the Reviews and Reputation manager serves as a single source for reading and responding to reviews on platforms such as Yelp and Google, and the Reporting Suite allows users to create visual reports that can be web-hosted or delivered via auto-email.

Instagram has quickly become one of the most popular social media platforms, with more than 500 million monthly active users. The platform recently rolled out shoppable photo tags that enable users to view product information and go to product pages from within the app, making it a powerful channel for marketers.

Organizations will need to develop Instagram-specific marketing strategies in order to capitalize on the platform's popularity, and SOCi’s latest integration aims to be a valuable tool in improving and delivering those campaigns, said Alo Sarv, CTO at SOCi, in a statement: 

"Version one of our integration simplifies the task of managing a multitude of Instagram accounts by allowing users to view all of their Instagram feeds and engage with any of their followers all from a single platform. The platform even notifies our users in real time when followers from anywhere in their Instagram network of pages have engaged with their content."

In a separate statement, Afif Khoury, CEO at SOCi, noted that the integration signals that Instagram is ripe for business-user interactions:

"As social networks mature, they begin to invite businesses in to interact with their users. With this latest integration, Instagram has empowered SOCi to facilitate that interaction for multi-location enterprises at the scale and efficiency that our platform was built for."
