ReputationChanger Acquires Brand.com

Reputation Changer, a provider of online reputation management and brand control services, has acquired Brand.com in a six-figure deal. Exact financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Following the acquisition, Reputation Changer will change its name toBrand.com.

Brand.com safeguards online reputations by clearing negative content, optimizing positive search engine results, and monitoring reputation across Google, Bing, Yahoo, and more than 400 social media Web sites. Its patent-pending Command Center enables clients to monitor social media, moderate reviews, and manage content across multiple digital assets, providing full-spectrum control over a brand’s online dialogues.

"A world-class online reputation has become the most important facet of a respected and recognized brand," said Michael Zammuto, president of Brand.com, in a statemement. "With the acquisition of Brand.com, we are communicating to businesses and individuals worldwide that our mission is to protect their brands across the entire digital landscape."

"The Internet is still a Wild West when it comes to accurate content, transparency, and brand confusion," Zammuto added. "Companies and individuals needlessly suffer when trolls post defamatory comments, and clients can unfairly suffer when their name or brand is mixed up with others that have received negative attention. We give brands real peace of mind, and that is why there is no better name for our service than Brand.com."
