SPL WorldGroup has announced enhancements to PeopleSoft CRM version 8.8. The VAR says the SPL version is a browser-based, thin-client user interface. The company also says that archiving capabilities, product support, field service, and enhanced usability, including better data capture features, are also included in the SPL version. Hansen Information Technologies has just released Hansen 8, its upgraded e-government suite, which the company says is architected on an XML--based Microsoft .NET platform. Hanson 8 is designed to help regional government offices better manage citizen contact points, simplifying contact records down to the field level in a browser-based interface. The suite includes Citizen Call Center, Building Permit, Business Licensing, Code Enforcement, Executive Dashboard, GIS, Property Tax, Timesheet Reporting, Transportation, Utility Billing, and Web Portal applications, according to Hansen.
The Alexander Group has announced the release of SalesTime Maker Version 4.0, a hosted management decision system designed to maximize sales results through sales force activity optimization. SalesTime Maker collects and analyzes sales force activity and suggests more effective time allocation strategies, according to the company. eAssist Global Solutions and Melita International, providers of customer service and support software and services, announced this week they have entered into a codevelopment and reseller agreement to deliver an integrated desktop solution for inbound and outbound contact centers. eAssist also announced today it has acquired divine Inc.'s Customer Interaction Management Internet products, including the NetAgent Suite. Under the terms of the eAssist-Melita agreement the two companies will work together to build on the multichannel integration between the eAssist and NetAgent products. Additionally, Melita will be authorized to resell the eAssist NetAgent Suite to customers wishing to add such Internet channels as email, Web chat, and self-service to their telephony capabilities. ScanSoft has released a new product called SpeechPearl XML 1.0, which is a speech-recognition engine for call centers. The product has a 15 percent higher accuracy rating, the company says, and can support more than 45 different languages. ACCPAC International, a subsidiary of Computer Associates International, released ACCPAC Insight, an enterprise reporting-and-analysis software suite. The company says the product provides reporting, budgeting, consolidations, and scheduling capabilities, not only from accounting systems, but also from nonfinancial data sources throughout the enterprise.
