CUSTOMER WINS Alaska Airlines selected
Siebel Systems' Siebel Business Analytics to enable Alaska's marketing professionals to evaluate customer behavior, identify purchasing trends, and design promotions to meet the needs of their expanding customer base. The solution will deploy throughout Alaska's marketing organization and will integrate with the airline's internal customer management system and Sabre, a widely used electronic travel network. IN THE NEWS FrontRange Solutions has released its fourth-quarter earnings, which ended January 31, 2005. License revenue increased 20 percent over the previous year, while total revenue for the fourth quarter increased to $20.7 million, an increase of 13 percent from the $18.3 million from the same quarter of the previous year. FrontRange also reported a fourth-quarter operating profit of $2.3 million, an increase of 50 percent over the fourth quarter previous year. Smart Telecom, a developer of automation tools for small contact centers and help desks, has entered into an OEM agreement with Conveyant Systems for the worldwide distribution and sale of its flagship product QSD-2005 2.1, an automatic call distributor performance reporting solution. ON THE MOVE Parature, a provider of on demand support software, appointed Lee Wang vice president of Worldwide Sales, responsible for accelerating Parature's sales initiative, managing sales personnel, and expanding sales into new territories. Prior to joining Parature, he cofounded CourseInfo, which was acquired by BlackBoard in 1998, where he most recently held the position as Regional Director of Sales for the Asia Pacific and Latin America markets. Salesnet announced that David Golan has joined Salesnet as vice president of sales and alliances. Golan brings more than 18 years of global sales and executive management experience in selling enterprise software. He will be responsible for the strategy and operations of sales and channel organization at Salesnet. Prior to joining Salesnet, Golan served as vice president of North American Sales at iET Solutions.
