CUSTOMER WINS Solucient, a provider of information products for the healthcare industry, has implemented Supportforce,
Salesforce.com's on-demand customer-service solution, to improve service levels. Supportforce will replace three different systems previously in use at Solucient, spanning sales and support operations. Solucient will use Salesforce.com to integrate a sales force that operates with more than 2,000 hospitals and 16 pharmaceutical manufacturers in the United States. Siebel Systems will implement Macrovision's FLEXnet Publisher Update Service Module to manage and deliver updates throughout its entire customer base. Siebel will distribute software updates across their customer organizations and automatically deliver updates to multiple software platforms, including AIX, IBM, Linux, Sun Solaris, and Windows. IN THE NEWS Coremetrics, a provider of hosted Web-analytics and marketing solutions, announced the formation of a new subsidiary, Coremetrics Europe Limited, and the opening of a new European office in London. Coremetrics is launching its European operations with more than 20 international brands already deployed. Frank Lombos, regional vice president, will lead European operations. Lombos is a software industry veteran with 18 years of experience building businesses across Europe. MicroStrategy, a worldwide provider of BI software, and Teradata have renewed an alliance. Teradata customers will now use end-to-end BI solutions built on the MicroStrategy platform. The agreement strengthens the existing marketing and technology relationship between the two companies, which includes MicroStrategy's participation in Teradata's beta program over the past 10 years. NEW PRODUCTS Amdocs, a provider of CRM software and services, announced business consulting services to accelerate the pace of integrated customer management for Communication Service Providers. The services are designed to integrate customer management to a service provider's strategic consulting services, and to improve customer satisfaction. SAS and Aprimo, a provider in enterprise marketing management, will incorporate Marketing Resource Management products within the Aprimo Marketing suite into SAS Marketing Automation. The integrated solution will be immediately available as a SAS offering through its global sales channel.
