NEW PRODUCTS Omniture has released its latest version of its flagship product, SiteCatalyst 12. New features include a multivariate experimentation manager that expands a user's ability to measure testing scenarios, role-based dashboards that deliver insight of role-specific key performance indicators, and a "Dashboard Player" that pushes key dashboard reports to desktops for real-time updates. All this was designed with the intent of accelerating organizational workflow and marketing ROI. Omniture has also launched Omniture Discover, a new, third-generation on-demand Web analytics solution. Discover will be fully integrated with SiteCatalyst and the Omniture Data Warehouse. Discover is a search engine designed to enable companies to break down silos of information created by analytics packages. Omniture Discover will also complement SiteCatalyst by interacting with Web data collected through SiteCatalyst and storing it in Omniture Data Warehouse.
Proposal Software and Mimeo.com will jointly provide and automated end-to-end solution for proposal teams to respond quickly to Requests For Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information. The integration of Mimeo.com into the PMAPS solution will enable proposal teams to have an automated process for RFP's through the desktop. Unify, a provider of business process automation solutions, has made available Unify NXJ 10.6, its business process automation platform. New reporting capabilities in 10.6 include improvement to Web services, BPO management, and interactive forms processing to enable users real-time insight into operations and business information. IN THE NEWS Amdocs and Microsoft have signed a letter of intent to enable service providers to more rapidly deliver converged IP-based services to their customers. Under the terms of the letter the two companies plan to jointly develop, market, and deliver solutions that will combine Amdocs consulting and implementation services, Amdocs 6, and Microsoft Communications Sector solutions, including Microsoft Connected Service Framework. SPSS has unveiled technology for Microsoft that will expand the analytical options for customers. Users will have the option to integrate SPSS Statistical Services for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with Windows Server System products. Expanded features include building and deploying enterprise applications using SPSS predictive analytics, integrating SPSS analytics directly into the SQL Server 2005 development environment. Oracle will acquire TimesTen, a privately held supplier of real-time data management software. Both parties anticipate closing the transaction by the end of July 2005. TimesTen proves infrastructure software for managing events, transactions, and data for applications in the telecom, networking, and securities trading industry. ON THE MOVE Five9, a provider of hosted contact center solutions, has appointed Cary Fulbright to the position of vice president of marketing. Fulbright will lead Five9's marketing and product efforts. The company also appointed George Peterson to the position of senior vice president of engineering, technical operations, and customer care. He will be responsible continuing development of the company's flagship product, Virtual Contact Center, while expanding the company's VoIP network and developing their technical support teams. CUSTOMER WINS Pergo, a manufacturer of laminate flooring has selected QlikTech's QlikView application to improve sales and inventory data for the organization's sales and marketing division. Pergo will deploy QlikView to more than 150 online and offline end-users. The application will complement the company's Cognos-based data warehouse to give the sales organization a dashboard of business information. Chrysler Group has selected InQuira, provider of search solutions of customer solutions through websites and contact centers to implement its InQuira 7 Intelligent Search platform for four of its branded Web sites, including www.chrysler.com, www.dodge.com, www.jeep.com, and www.chryslerfinancial.com. In addition to powering the search capabilities, InQuira 7 will also be used in Chrysler Group's customer service center, enabling service agents to find customers answers.
