Infusionsoft Touts Sales Productivity and Smarter Social Campaigns

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (InfusionCon) -- Today, sales and marketing software company Infusionsoft walked more than 2,100 small businesses and entrepreneurs through the latest features included in its spring 2013 release at its annual users' conference.

Infusionsoft, which recently raised $54 million in capital funding led by Goldman Sachs, said the top two concerns its 13,543 customers had in common was increasing sales and saving time. "Across the board, customers said, 'Please simplify my sales and marketing,'" said Richard Tripp, chief product officer at Infusionsoft. "They said, 'Please make it easy for me to adopt this.'"

One of the features introduced today is "My Day," a productivity tool for salespeople and marketers, which was optimized for workflow productivity around the CRM contact record. Users can create quotes, move through sales stages, compose and send email, and schedule appointments all from the My Day interface.

Playing on Infusionsoft's recent acquisition of social marketing company GroSocial, the company now lets users run photo and video contests on social media site Facebook and offer up discounts and promotions to people who "like" their Facebook pages.

According to Tripp, 81 percent of customers pursue social media lead generation, but only 32 percent were finding real results. To be successful with social campaigns and marketing, companies have to take note of proven best strategies and stop looking at social marketing as simply erecting a Facebook fan page, he said.

With Infusionsoft's link to GroSocial, companies can manage content and rules around social promotions and then wed those social campaign results with email marketing and list capabilities in Infusionsoft's Campaign Builder.

Another new feature is the Infusionsoft Campaign Marketplace, giving users access to one-click marketing campaign templates for campaign email, timers, content, and design. Small-business owners have access now to a Branding Center, which lets users unify and replicate branded business content across email and landing pages.

The features included in Infusionsoft's spring 2013 release will be available to all customers in mid-April, according to company CEO Clate Mask. Several customers are already testing the new release's capabilities.
