Firstlogic Gets PeopleSoft Nod of Approval

Firstlogic Inc., a producer of information-quality software packages, announced that its new Data Quality Link for PeopleSoft CRM, which allows for complete integration between Firstlogic's data-quality platforms and PeopleSoft CRM 8.4, has been certified by PeopleSoft.

According to Firstlogic, organizations that integrate Firstlogic's information-quality software into a PeopleSoft CRM package via the Data Quality Link can incorporate information-quality capabilities into their enterprise environments to improve the accuracy and consistency of the data in their systems. The solution locates and eliminates redundant data and duplicate records, as well as standardizes and organizes customer information into a single, unified view, says Art Petty, vice president of marketing at Firstlogic.

"As customer relationship management software applications, such as PeopleSoft CRM, continue to skyrocket in popularity, Firstlogic's information quality solutions can be present to ensure business rules are enforced and critical business information is standardized, validated, and consolidated," Petty says. "This enables organizations to extend control to nonorganizational people, such as customers or students, to manage their own information with complete confidence."

According to Joe Davis, vice president and general manager of PeopleSoft CRM, "Firstlogic's data-quality solutions are a perfect complement to the broad range of PeopleSoft CRM solutions, providing reliable and accurate data that enables customers to make informed decisions."

Esteban Kolsky, a senior analyst at Gartner, says the level of success of any CRM initiative--or any other data-driven application--is the quality of the data. "Bad data leads to bad business decisions. Enterprises that fail to address data-quality issues risk missed opportunities and operational inefficiencies. By developing an accurate and consolidated profile of the customer, enterprises can use that knowledge to better tailor their interactions specifically to that customer," he says.

Firstlogic's Petty says the software has already undergone beta testing and is currently available.
