CUSTOMER WINS Kaidara Software announced that
IDX Systems, a provider of healthcare IT systems, has deployed Kaidara Advisor. IDX will use the knowledge management system to diagnose and solve product support problems and will deploy Kaidara Advisor within its Imagecast Division, which provides healthcare institutions like hospitals, academic medical centers, and imaging centers with workflow and enterprisewide systems access to information. Parature, a provider of on-demand support software, announced that Indiana State University has implemented Parature's Campus Support Solution. ISU's information technology department is responsible for serving 11,200 students, 1,200 staff employees, and 454 faculty members. The American Automotive Association of Minnesota/Iowa has chosen Avaya to fulfill the need for a self-service solution to support a range of customer needs, including key roadside assistance requests and trip itinerary creation. AAA of Minnesota/Iowa incorporated Avaya speech self-service applications to help traveling motorists in assistance, vacation planning, and callers requesting service and information. IN THE NEWS Omniture announced that is a Founding Corporate Member of the newly formed Web Analytics Association (WAA). Josh James, CEO and cofounder of Omniture, will sit on the Advisory Board of the WAA, while John Pestana, executive vice president of customer success and cofounder of Omniture, will cochair the marketing committee. The WAA is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to unite and foster the interests of professionals involved in measuring the success of their online business initiatives. ChoiceStream, a provider of personalization solutions for online consumer services and retailers, has raised $7 million in a Series A financing round led by General Catalyst Partners. Proceeds will fund the rapid expansion of engineering and development activities to meet the increase in market demand for enterprisewide personalization solutions. ON THE MOVE QlikTech announced that Anthony Deighton has joined the company as vice president of marketing. Deighton, previously a general manager at Siebel Systems, will bring an extensive background in management and product marketing. NEW PRODUCTS AppteraT introduced v-Business Solutions for the worldwide enterprise market. A new voice solution for delivering personalized caller experience, v-Business delivers Web-based information like campaign management, caller profiling, and personalization techniques over the phone. The solution is designed to help enterprises extract the needs of inbound callers more quickly and efficiently.
