YourMembership (YM), a cloud-based software provider for associations and member-based organizations, has released SocialLink—a feature that enhances association member communities powered by membership management software.

YM's SocialLink promises to help associations turn infrequent, episodic member engagement—the kind defined by members primarily paying association dues—into stronger member connections by delivering highly-personalized and relevant content, such as education, careers, information, and industry news, in secure and private online social venues. SocialLink helps community administrators manage multiple, secure communities in a single association management platform by creating a tighter connection between member data and analytical administration tools within membership management systems.

"SocialLink is meant for our present-day digital and social generation and easily leapfrogs the community platforms associations are currently using," said JP Guilbault, CEO of YourMembership, in a statement. "Our mission is simple. We aim to help associations make SocialLink a daily habit for both them and their members, thereby reversing the largely episodic and less frequent connections now taking place between associations and their members."

SocialLink aggregates content sources in a single, highly-personalized view on members' feeds and delivers alerts and notifications to allow for easier engagement.

Associations can improve their offers, campaigns, and revenue with dynamic, highly personalized social, Web, and email member communications that deliver the right message, at the right time, in the right place. With the addition of a feed, visibility of important promotions is increased without the need to design special Web pages and emails to capture members' attention. Critical messages and calls-to-action for customized messages also can be anchored in the announcement area of the feed.

Associations can take advantage of social and behavioral analytics. Whether SocialLink users are members or administrators, each group has visibility and insight into peer knowledge exchanges and community health. The SocialLink feed also will automatically promote membership renewals when members are close to their expiration dates.
