SurveyMonkey Launches SurveyMonkey Intelligence

SurveyMonkey, providers of an online survey platform, has launched SurveyMonkey Intelligence, a mobile app insights platform.

SurveyMonkey Intelligence expands the company's existing data businesses, offering data and insights on more than 1,000 mobile apps and the overall app economy to customers. With SurveyMonkey Intelligence, app publishers can benchmark key metrics, track competitors, and discover emerging mobile trends.

SurveyMonkey Intelligence was created through the acquisition and incubation of Renzu.

"Mobile will be the leading platform in which businesses connect with customers. With our acquisition of Renzu and the launch of SurveyMonkey Intelligence, we're removing the barriers of time, difficulty, and cost in getting mobile app data, just as the company did 17 years ago when it established the online survey space and democratized the feedback process," said Zander Lurie, CEO of SurveyMonkey, in a statement.

SurveyMonkey Intelligence creates a new branch of SurveyMonkey's data business, offering customers granular data around mobile usage, revenue, and churn.

Mobile metric data currently provided by SurveyMonkey Intelligence includes the following:

  • Usage and retention data, including active users (weekly or monthly), user engagement, sessions and time spent, and churn;
  • Leaderboards, including fastest growing, largest by category, best-in-class metrics, and top new apps;
  • Features, filtered by OS and store category. Users can compare apps side by side, export chart images, and download CSV data;
  • Audience data, including demographics, user base overlap, and app affinity;
  • Store data, including downloads, revenue, and average revenue per daily active users.

"SurveyMonkey Intelligence makes it easier for app publishers to get the critical data they need to remain competitive in today's crowded mobile landscape. Our platform empowers users to confidently research what to build next, understand areas for improvement, and identify emerging mobile trends," said Abhinav Agrawal, vice president of SurveyMonkey Intelligence, in a statement. "I am excited to be joining SurveyMonkey, a company with a long-standing track record for helping people access data in order to make great decisions."

Similar to SurveyMonkey, the platform includes a free plan where customers can select any app to track downloads and active user metrics. Paid plans begin at $79 per month.

SurveyMonkey Intelligence data is based on a large national sample of Android and iOS users across devices in the United States.
